Americans used to depend on animals for the transport of people and goods from one place to another. Oil of whales was used to illuminate their nights. Today is petrol and cars, and huge amounts of electricity to brighten up their cities and support their economy. But one research claims that Americans only six minutes a year thinking about energy.
It is clear that the American public doesn't want to think about energy consumption. The only place Americans focus on energy use when they on the gas pump.
Global economy makes increasing oil prices and collapsing in response to circumstances beyond American borders and their out of control. They are concerned about how their economy gets hurt, and the only way to respond is to take matters into their own hands. In this documentary, we look how America consumes and uses energy and we meet enthusiasts who are finding new sustainable resources to save energy.
USA has had enormous success in conservation and energy efficiency, but the "fifth fuel" is very, very critical for their future. Can use fifth fuel as difficult as drilling for fossil fuels. But also supply communities with power in this new sustainable ways empowers people.
